Lawn Mowing Estimates

How Smart Business Owners Provide Competitive Lawn Mowing Estimates Without Overpricing or Underbidding.

There are 3 things toconsider before pricing a lawn mowing estimate.

1.) Transportation Price: Time and money spent traveling to the client location
2.) Work Price: Time and money spent unloading the truck, mowing the lawn, and cleanup.
3.) Administration Cost: Back office operating expenses. (Phone, Website, Marketing, Insurance, Accountant, Lawyer, Salaries, etc...)

How to Calculate Transportation Price

Calculate how much it costs per mile to travel to a client location. This should include (gas, insurance, vehicle wear& tear, time spent driving).

How to Calculate Work Price

1.) Know how much you want to charge per minute in order to be profitable.
2.) Calculate how long it will take you to complete the project.

Example: $1.20 PerMinute x 35 Minutes = $42 Work Price

What to Charge

Transportation Price + Work Price = What To Charge
Example: $4 Transportation Price + $42 Work Price = $46 What to Charge the Client

Note: Many landscaping companies might bid $45 because it makes it psychologically enticing for the potential client to hire them.
